Pencil sketching

Been inspired by the excellent Jeff Smith’s Bone, which I have just purchased the complete collection of. I love the atmosphere of shady glades and forest that he conjures with his remarkable line. Simply stunning skills. So I thought I would try a forest scene. It started off as a simple figure sketch but then I thought, what could this young man be creeping around like this for…..?

The Dead again…

May 3, 2009

One thing I love drawing are zombies. They capture the imagination more than any other movie monster and I love the fact that I am free to really mess around with gesture and pose and expression! There is certainly something sad and comical about the walking dead and I think they suit a runny ink pen and a bit of humour!
